01 Nov Words of Gratitude
I am the mom of Greta Wolf and wife of Bill Wolf. We stayed with you in July and August 2016 while Greta received treatment at the Walker Clinic in the Chronic Pain Rehabilitation Program and were so deeply appreciative of our stay there. I was inspired to write and share this poem of thanks!
Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland – Loving It!
By Liz Davenport
Near Cleveland Clinic’s main campus
Ronald McDonald House, a true gift for us
Unexpected, wonderful in every way
Making affordable our one-month stay
Gated and safe each night and day
55 families had come to stay
From the world over and all walks of life
Cared for and loved to ease the strife
Background checks meant peace of mind
Staff and volunteers so helpful and kind
House provided good food every meal
Gave our family time together to heal
We made friends with others in similar need
Or escaped to our cozy room for TV or to read
Or walked on garden trails within the gates
Or found rooms to play in or just stay up late
We cannot thank you enough for our care
And know others love you as much while there
For all that you do, “we are so grateful for you!”
May you succeed everlasting and be ever anew
Donors to the Ronald McDonald House ensure that families like the Wolf-Davenports have a comfortable and safe place to stay when their children are receiving medical treatment.
